February 6 Dance Cancelled
Henrico County Parks & Recreation just contacted us to advise that ALL county schools are officially closed and all county activities are being canceled due to the expected snow storm heading this way. It has already started snowing in the Highland Springs area. We regret the cancellation of a dance, but wish for all of our dancers to be safe and not traveling in dangerous conditions. An alternate location is not being considered. Please pass the word to others that may not have email or are not members of the Richmond/Tri-Cities Chapters. New venue for 1st Saturday dances
Beginning February 6, 2010 the 1st Saturday dances will be held at Brookland Middle School. See the events page for directions. |
President’s Corner
“Better Late than Never” was the theme as we held the make-up Holiday Dance at Deep Run in January, extending the 2009 holiday season well into 2010. Bill Irwin did a great job with the music, as always, and your Board arranged for a buffet spread that rivaled most you would find at a formal event. My thanks to all of the Board members for their hard work and continued support of the chapter in preparing for events of this nature as well as for all of the work that goes into making our dances go so smoothly.
